Aubameyang could remain at BvB next season - Watzke

Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that his side are under no pressure to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the end of the campaign.

The 27-year-old is one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe having amassed an impressive tally of 80 goals in his last three seasons at BvB.

Aubameyang was linked with a potential move to Manchester City in the summer before the deal reached a dead end.

On the other hand, Real Madrid have been player's preferred destination, but they are currently under a transfer ban until January 2018.

Watzke has now suggested that he is prepared to hold negotiations with Los Blancos, but they are in no hurry to offload their prized asset.

Aubameyang has still four years left on his present deal, and Los Blancos would have to cough up a hefty sum of around £80m to have any chance of securing his services.

The European champions are in the process of appealing their embargo to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
