Villalba to stay put at Valencia

Spanish whizkid Fran Villalba is prepared to snub advances from Manchester United to pen a new long-term deal at Valencia. The 18-year-old was recommended to the Red Devils by club legend Gary Neville.

The teenager, who is likened to Manchester City ace David Silva, made his first-team under Gary Neville last term.

Agent Vicente Flores had recently cited that his client is considering a possible move to Old Trafford amid his lack of playing time at Mestalla.

However, Villalba has sorted out his issues with Los Che, and is leaning towards a fresh deal on a reasonable wage hike.

The La Liga side are also expected to increase his buy-out clause which is currently at a meagre sum of £3.6m.

Villalba, who has represented Spain at all youth levels, has appeared in four outings for Valencia till date.
