Mamadou Sakho to reject France return

Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho has no desire to join Lille in the January transfer window. The centre-half does not feature in the plans of Jurgen Klopp.

Sakho, 26, has failed to make the Reds first-team since his poor attitude shown during the pre-season tour of the United States.

The France international reported late several times during the tour, and was eventually sent back for his poor timekeeping.

Mercato365 claims that the defender has no intention of returning to France and will rather seek to pursue a fresh challenge in the Premier League.

Sakho was adamant to leave the Reds in the summer, but he has now given up on his hopes of earning gametime at Anfield.

Stoke City are currently the leading candidates for his signature having failed with a loan approach for his services in August.
