Barca target Cedric Soares

Southampton defender Cedric Soares is reportedly the subject of interest from Barcelona ahead of the winter transfer window.

The Catalan giants are on the look out for a new right-back in January with Aleix Vidal set to pursue his career elsewhere.

According to Spanish source AS, Cedric has emerged as a potential option for the Catalan giants, who already have Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Roberto to fulfil the right-back duties.

Valencia's Joao Cancelo and Arsenal's Hector Bellerin have been linked with potential moves to Camp Nou, but Cedric is regarded as the cheaper option.

The Portugal international joined the Saints from Sporting in the summer of 2015. He was recently part of his national side that beat hosts France to lift the Euro 2016 crown.

Cedric is currently valued in the £20m range.
