Man Utd plot winter swoop for Dembele

Manchester United are lining up a winter offer for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele. The 20-year-old has been in fine form in his debut campaign for the Scottish champions.

The France Under-21 international joined the Hoops from Championship side Fulham in the summer, and has since racked 16 goals in all competitions.

According to The Mail, manager Jose Mourinho has requested his scouts to keep a close watch on Dembele, who has performed above his expectations this season.

The Frenchman was initially predicted to struggle at Celtic, but he has proved his doubters wrong with a Champions League brace against Manchester City being his highlight moment.

Brendan Rodgers' side are said to value their asset at around £40m having previously recruited him for a mere £500,000 fee in the summer.
