Hull City plan Hernandez-Gestede swap

Hull City are reportedly prepared to offer Abel Hernandez to Aston Villa, should they land Rudy Gestede in a straight exchange deal. 

Recent speculation claimed that Villa boss Steve Bruce could seek a reunion with Hernandez, who was instrumental towards the Tigers' promotion from the Championship last term.

According to The Sun, Hull City will be willing to do business with the Villains in the January transfer window only if they can get their hands on Gestede.

Mike Phelan's are already without the services of Will Keane for the season through a knee injury, and this has urged them to recruit a new striker before considering the potential sale of Hernandez.

Hernandez, who is currently nursing a groin problem, has struggled to replicate the performances of last season, and a return to the Championship with his former boss could be a tempting prospect.
