Arsene Wenger confirms Wilshere contract plans
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that his side are looking to offer a fresh contract to midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The England international joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan from the Gunners in the summer and has since earned a regular run under Eddie Howe.
When asked about Wilshere's progress, Wenger was full of praise for his performances this season and felt he is getting stronger every week following a long layoff through injury.
The Frenchman also confirmed that his side are planning contract talks with the 24-year-old despite speculation of him leaving the Emirates next summer.
Wilshere will not take part for Bournemouth this weekend as he is ineligible to play against his parent club in domestic competitions. The Stevenage-born midfielder is currently contracted to Arsenal until the summer of 2018.
