Juventus keen on Darmian

Serie A champions Juventus are plotting a winter move for Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian. The Italy international has recently returned to the first-team fold under Jose Mourinho.

Darmian, 26, has become a regular pick for the Red Devils this month with Mourinho opting to play him ahead of Daley Blind and Luke Shaw for the left-back role.

According to Calciomercato, the Old Lady will lodge an attempt to sign the Italian in January with the likes of Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci absent through injuries.

Alves suffered a horrific leg break in the 3-1 defeat to Genoa over the weekend whilst his partner Bonucci is also sidelined for a couple of months after pulling his hamstring.

Darmian is, for now, a regular in the starting lineup for Manchester United, but it is yet to be known what Mourinho has in mind ahead of the winter transfer window.

The former Torino man has the ability to feature across the defence, and this is something which has invited interest from the Turin giants.
