Pep doing his best to lure Alexis to Man City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reported to have made a series of phone calls in order to convince Alexis Sanchez to leave the Emirates in the future. The 27-year-old has already contributed to 19 goals for Arsenal this season.
The Chile international has been in a rich vein of form this campaign, and his hat-trick in the 5-1 mauling of West Ham United is said to have captured the attention of Pep.
According to El Mercurio, the Catalan tactician had contacted his former player in a bid to lure him to the Etihad by the end of the season. It is added that the ex-Barcelona manager had utilized a similar approach to recruiting Claudio Bravo from Camp Nou in the summer.
Pep had since denied claims of communicating with the in-form striker and insisted the story has no truth to it.
Nevertheless, the Gunners should be worried over Alexis' situation with the striker reluctant to pen terms despite having only 18 months left on his current deal.
