Koeman mum over Depay & Schneiderlin link

Koeman won't reveal his winter targets

Everton boss Ronald Koeman revealed that his side are on the search for midfielder reinforcements in the winter transfer window. The Toffees were dealt a blow earlier this week after Yannick Bolasie was ruled out for the season with a knee injury.

Ahead of Saturday's game at Watford, Koeman admitted that he is on the look out for potential midfield additions, but would not get into the ongoing gossip.

"We are looking for some good options, maybe the necessity now is a little more than it was before because we lost Yannick for a long time," he told reporters. "I don't speak about players, about rumours."

Both Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin were ignored for the Europa League clash at Zorya Luhansk, and it is believed that Mourinho would entertain offers for the pair in the New Year.

Depay is said to be available on a temporary contract, whilst Schneiderlin is widely tipped to end his association with the FA Cup holders.

Everton will hope to move up the standings over the weekend following a run which has seen them drop ever further from the European places.
