PSG join Arsenal in Draxler chase
French champions Paris Saint-Germain are set to once again rival Arsenal for the services of Wolfsburg attacker Julian Draxler. The German international is expected to leave the Wolves in the New Year following a rift with the club's hierarchy.
Both the Gunners and Les Parisiens were in the hunt to secure the player's signature in the summer, before Wolfsburg ruled out his sale.
Since then, the German international has barely impressed in the Bundesliga thus leading to suggestions that he could be looking for a way out of the club.
Arsene Wenger's side have been deemed frontrunners to lure Draxler to the Emirates next month, but according to RMC, Les Parisiens have made direct contact with the Bundesliga outfit over a £30m deal, which is £5m more than their initial valuation.
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is said to be playing the middle man to persuade Draxler to join the Gunners in January, but the transfer fee still remains a question.
