Man Utd to sign Goncalo Guedes?

Manchester United are in advanced negotiations to sign Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes during the winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been on the Premier League radar for a while, and it appears that United are prepared to seal a transfer agreement for his services.

According to The Mail, Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is said to have travelled to London alongside Super agent Jorge Mendes in order to secure the move for the player.

The Red Devils were previously said to have stalled on a deal for Victor Lindelof, but this has not broken their connection with the Primeira Liga holders.

Jose Mourinho, who shares the same representative as Guedes, is prepared to cough up an initial £26m sum in order bring the Portugal international to Old Trafford.

Guedes has appeared over 60 times for Benfica since graduating from the youth ranks in the 2014-15 season.
