PSG favourites to sign Kessie?

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly lodged a formal offer for reported Chelsea and Manchester United target Franck Kessie. The 20-year-old has been a key player for Atalanta BC, netting six times in 16 appearances.

Kessie has been the subject of strong speculation since the start of the transfer window with the likes of Everton, Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus among others said to be interested in the player.

BBC Sport reveals that Les Parisiens have jumped the ship for Kessie after they tabled an initial £23m offer for the midfield anchorman.

Premier League duo Everton and Chelsea are said to have previously failed with bids of around £15m and £23m respectively, but neither were willing discuss potential add-ons.

Kessie, who is currently on AFCON duty with the Ivory Coast, will most probably return to Atalanta on loan for the campaign, no matter which club secures his signature.
