Crystal Palace target ex-Man Utd winger
Former Manchester United forward Gabriel Obertan has emerged as a surprise target for Crystal Palace ahead of next week's transfer deadline. The winger is currently plying his trade in Russia with Anzhi Makhachkala.
According to France Football, the Eagles have joined the likes of AEK Athens and Standard Liege in the chase for the attacker after it was revealed that he would be offloaded this month.
Anzhi are currently said to be in a financial crisis, and they are prepared to offload the 27-year-old in order to ease some of their troubles.
Obertan largely flopped during his stay with both Manchester United and Newcastle United in the top flight, but he would welcome the chance to prove himself at Selhurst Park on a short-term contract.
Crystal Palace are currently in the Premier League drop zone following a winless run under new boss Sam Allardyce.
