Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly in the front seat to sign reported Chelsea and Juventus target Sead Kolasinac.

The Bosnian international is due to leave Schalke for nothing in the summer after he snubbed a proposed contract extension at the German club.

Both Juventus and Chelsea were said to be lining up a late swoop for the left-back last month, but the player opted to stay put at the Veltins Arena for the campaign.

According to German outlet Bild, the Gunners are now favourites to pursue the attacking full-back in the summer as they to find a suitable competitor for Nacho Monreal.

Monreal has been the first choice left-back in recent seasons, and though Kieran Gibbs is present in the ranks, the club are on the search for a fresh recruit.

Gibbs is currently approaching the final year of his contract at the Emirates, and his exit could pave way for Kolasinac's arrival on a Bosman in the next transfer window.
