German club interested in EPL youngsters
Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem have emerged as top targets for Borussia Monchengladbach for this summer's transfer window.
The Bundesliga side are well known to promote youth in the starting lineup with Eden Hazard's younger sibling Thorgan and Chelsea's on-loan defender Andreas Christensen in their setup.
According to German daily Bild, manager Dieter Hecking is focused in signing both Zelalem and Loftus-Cheek in the summer as he seeks to add more options to his midfield.
Zelalem, currently on loan at VVV-Venlo, could be available on a free transfer with his Gunners deal due to expire in the summer.
On the other hand, Monchengladbach will seek to utilise their close ties with the Blues to secure a season-long loan for Loftus-Cheek next term.
The German club are also understood to be eyeing a permanent deal for Christensen with the Dane having impressed during his two-year loan spell from Stamford Bridge.
