Serie A star topping Arsenal shortlist
Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the situation of Napoli ace Lorenzo Insigne. The Italy international has recently snubbed a contract extension with the Serie A outfit.
Lorenzo, 25, has been long linked with a switch to England with the Gunners and Liverpool among his key suitors.
Recent speculation suggested that talks are underway between the Reds and the player's representative, but according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Gunners have joined the pursuit after watching him score during Sunday's 3-1 triumph over Chievo.
The attacker currently has more than two years left on his contract, but his reluctance to commit his future could urge Napoli to cash in on his services in the summer.
Insigne, who has notched eight goals and as many assists this campaign, could be available for a fee of £40m in the next transfer window.
Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the forward due to his uncertain future in Italy.
