Liverpool confirm new deal for Adam Lallana
England international Adam Lallana has been rewarded with a fresh contract at Liverpool following his impressive form under Jurgen Klopp over the past 18 months.
The 28-year-old has already notched seven goals in the top flight this term, and he remains key to the club's chances of securing Champions League football for next season.
Lallana had been in discussions over a contract extension for a while, and it is now revealed that he has penned a long-term deal (undisclosed) on wages worth £110,000-a-week.
The former Southampton graduate will also have the option of a further 12 months to his contract, should he impress during the length of his latest deal.
"I'm very proud and feel quite humbled by the show of faith from the club and the manager in particular. Signing for a club like Liverpool is obviously a big thing – but to re-sign shows you've obviously contributed enough that the people who make the decisions want you to stay longer," Lallana told the club's official website.
Lallana has appeared in exactly 117 outings for Liverpool since arriving from the south coast in the summer of 2014.
