Verratti Issues Blow For Interested Clubs
Several high profile clubs have expressed an interest in signing Italian midfielder Marco Verratti in the summer, however a new development has made the chance of a move look less likely.
Speaking to French media, Verratti explained that he is happy at Paris Saint Germain, and that he has ambitions of winning the Champions League with the French club. He went on to say "I am part of a project and there are not many like this one in Europe."
Verratti is just twenty three years old and seen as a huge talent, with some saying that he has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the world for many years to come. In the same interview, Verratti heaped praise on the management at PSG, saying that the coach has given him the confidence to go out and play his natural game.
This news will not be what other clubs wanted to hear, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United all said to be interested in the Italian. Verratti seems very happy with his current situation, although with clubs rumoured to be willing to pay £70 million for him, PSG may decide that they are willing to cash in on their talent.
