Premier Leagues top clubs to scout Old Firm derby

Dembele has been in fine form for Celtic

Scouts from Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be present at Sunday's Scottish Premiership tie against Celtic and Rangers, as they look to assess striker Moussa Dembele, ahead of a move for him at the end of the season.

Reports in The Sun today suggest that the fine form of Dembele has grabbed the interest of the Premier League clubs, having scored 32 goals since he arrived at Celtic at the start of the season. This great signing is even more impressive due to the fact that Celtic had to pay just £500,000 for the deal.

Dembele first attracted attention as a youngster at Fulham. Celtic took the opportunity to sign him, and it has turned out to be a fantastic choice. The French striker is still just twenty years old, showing potential for even more improvement.

Chelsea were rumoured to be lining up a deadline day bid for Dembele in January, however it was a story that never really materialised, with Celtic adamant that he was staying with them.

Dembele's form has been unstoppable so far this season, and the scouts from the Premier League sides will be looking to see if they think he has the ability to score as many goals in the step up to the English Premier League.

The youngster is contracted to Celtic until 2020, meaning that if teams want to sign him, the Glasgow club will be able to hold out for a big offer. The figure that it is expected that the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea will have to pay to prise Dembele away from Celtic Park is said to be around £30 million.
