Barcelona plan to beat Arsenal, Chelsea to Serie A striker

La Liga holders Barcelona are understood to have held talks with Torino over the potential signing of Andrea Belotti this summer. The Italy international is also on the radar of London giants Arsenal and Chelsea.

Belotti, 23, has netted 24 goals in just 27 outings this season, including 22 goals in the Italian league.

Speculation earlier claimed that the marksman could be headed to the Premier League with Arsenal, and Chelsea, in particular, said to be keen on his services.

However, according to Toro.it, the Catalan giants met up with Torino officials over past week in order to beat their close rivals to the player's signature.

Belotti currently has a £86m release clause in his contract, and Toro are likely to hold for his maximum value following his excellent progress during the ongoing campaign.

The Italian has led the line for Torino with style this season, but a move to the Camp Nou could be dependent on sidelining Luis Suarez from the lineup on a regular basis.
