Harry Redknapp to takeover Middlesbrough role?
Harry Redknapp is reportedly eyeing a return to management with the vacant Middlesbrough job up for grabs. The 70-year-old last coached Jordan for their World Cup qualifiers last year.
The Riverside outfit are currently without a permanent head coach after Aitor Karanka decided to mutually cut ties for the betterment of the club.
According to The Sun, Redknapp has set his sights on taking over the managerial post at Middlesbrough but assistant Steve Agnew remains the frontrunner for the role.
Boro owner Steve Gibson has recently insisted that he won't be rushed into selecting a new manager and there is every possibility that Agnew could take up the job on a permanent basis irrespective of the club's league status.
Middlesbrough have failed to win any of their last 10 games in the top flight, and they currently find themselves in the drop zone, five points adrift of safety.
Agnew is due to take up the managerial duties on Sunday where Boro face a tough test to keep Manchester United at bay at the Riverside Stadium.
