Borussia Monchengladbach target Man Utd defender
Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been earmarked as a potential option to replace Andreas Christensen at Borussia Monchengladbach next season.
The 19-year-old broke into the first-team under former boss Louis van Gaal during the previous campaign, and this earned him a fresh long-term deal in the summer.
He has since struggled to earn regular playing time under Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese still considers him as a key part of his future plans at Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, Monchengladbach will raid for the young defender in the summer as they seek to find a suitable replacement for the outgoing Christensen.
Christensen is expected to return to league rivals Chelsea during the off-season following his two-year loan stint in Germany, where he has earned plaudits from the Monchengladbach faithful.
Fosu-Mensah was initially signed from former club Ajax as a centre-back, and the Bundesliga side will seek to pursue a temporary move for his services with United prepared to move in for a new right-sided defender.
The Dutch footballer has started just three games for United at right-back this season - a position which Antonio Valencia has made it his own across all competitions.
