Palace want to sign Liverpool defender permanently
Crystal Palace will look to sign Mamadou Sakho on a permanent basis in the summer after a successful loan deal which has seen the Eagles edge away from the relegation zone in the Premier League.
A year long drugs ban, followed by a falling out with manager Jurgen Klopp saw Sakho fall out of contention at Anfield, which also looks likely to see him leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Since joining Crystal Palace on loan in January, the club have won all four of the games that he has played in, with the French defender fitting in comfortably to the Palace back line and showing great leadership qualities.
These fine performances have reminded everyone of the quality that Sakho possesses, and the fact that his future at Liverpool looks very much in doubt has attracted the attention of several teams.
Along with Crystal Palace, Southampton and Napoli are said to be interested in the twenty seven year old, who could demand a transfer fee in the region of twenty five million pounds.
