Chelsea confident of Sead Kolasinac signing

Chelsea are reportedly confident of wrapping up a deal for Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac ahead of their league rivals.

The 23-year-old is expected to pursue a new club during the off-season after he turned down the opportunity of extending his Schalke contract beyond the current campaign.

According to The Mirror, the Blues are prepared to convince Kolasinac to move to Stamford Bridge this summer with the left-back open to plying his trade in the Premier League.

However, they could face some competition from Everton, who are willing to offer the player with wages in excess of £100,000-a-week in order to test his resolve.

Manchester City and Liverpool are also understood to be keeping tabs on the talented left-back, who is well known for his aggressive style of play at the Veltins-Arena.

Kolasinac could have joined one of Chelsea or Juventus during the winter transfer window, but the lack of a suitable backup urged Schalke to keep hold of their asset for the season.
