Arsenal secure first summer signing, five-year contract agreed
Arsenal are reported to have acquired the services of Schalke 04 full-back Sead Kolasinac on a five-year contract.
The Bosnian international appeared to say his goodbyes to the fans following Schalke's 1-1 draw against Hamburg at the Veltins-Arena on Saturday.
Kolasinac, 23, had been linked with likes of Chelsea and Manchester City over the past month or so, but according to Football.London, an agreement has been put in place for him to join the Gunners.
The left-sided defender is understood to have already passed a medical while attending a promotion event on London back in April, and the deal is likely to be announced in the coming days.
Kolasinac had also attracted interest from Everton and AC Milan, but the Gunners managed to lure him with the promise of a significant signing-on fee.
The former German youth international has appeared in a total of 36 games for Schalke this season while contributing three goals and five assists.
His arrival could coincide with the exit of one of Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs with the latter's contract due to expire at the end of next season.
