Steven Gerrard has been made England captain by Fabio Capello for his first match in charge against Switzerland on the 6th of February.
The Liverpool midfielder steps into the role until Capello has had more time to decide on a permanent skipper, with previous incumbent John Terry injured.
It is not certain how long Gerrard will be captain but certainly it will be unitl Terry returns from injury.
