Hector Bellerin reiterates desire to remain at Arsenal
Spain international Hector Bellerin has all but ruled out a move to Barcelona ahead of this summer's transfer window. The right-sided defender is committed to the Gunners cause after inked a long-term deal earlier in the season.
Bellerin, 22, came through the ranks of La Masia, before joining the Gunners academy on a cut-price deal in the summer of 2011.
He has since developed through the system to become a regular in the first-team, and this has led to suggestions that he could push for a return to Camp Nou.
Speaking to The Mail, Bellerin stressed that he could remain at Arsenal for a while following his decision to prolong his north London stay until 2023.
"I signed my contract for a reason. I signed it because I wanted to be here. I wouldn't have done it otherwise," he told The Mail.
"Arsenal is the club that gave me the chance to be a professional and since the first time I met with the boss he's always said if I progressed the right way I could be an Arsenal player for a long time."
Bellerin earned his third FA Cup medal in four seasons after Arsenal beat Chelsea by a 2-1 scoreline to lift the famous old trophy for a record 13th time.
