Ranieri to be considered for Crystal Palace job
Crystal Palace have been without a manager since the shock resignation of Sam Allardyce after the final game of the season. Several established managers have been linked with the vacant role and now Claudio Ranieri is the man people want to see given the job.
Ranieri lead Leicester City to one of the most unexpected Premier League titles in history in 2016, when the Foxes defied the odds and captured the hearts of the entire football world.
Twelve months later, the Italian finds himself unemployed, after it was back to reality for Leicester, who were amongst a relegation battle at the time of his dismissal. Claudio Ranieri has been linked with several jobs since then and hs claimed that he wants to return to the Premier League, but will wait for the right job for him.
The Sun reports that Ranieri is one of a number of managers that Crystal Palace chairman is considering for the job, with Burnley's Sean Dyche also being strongly linked, although Burnley will be desperate to keep hold of him. Former Hull City manager Marco Silva was the strong favourite, before opting to join Watford instead.
