Liverpool close to signing AS Roma winger
AS Roma star Mohamed Salah could earn a second chance in the Premier League with Liverpool apparently close to clinching his signature.
The Egypt international has evolved into a top-class footballer during his time in the Serie A, and this has brought him back on the radar of former admirers Liverpool.
Former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had tried to recruit Salah from Basel in January 2014, but they were outbid by Chelsea in order to acquire his signature.
Salah had therein admitted that he wanted to join Liverpool in the first place but the Merseyside outfit were not willing to match Basel's £11m valuation.
The attacker has since moved onto the Serie A with the Giallorossi after a loan stint with Fiorentina, and he is now a huge favourite at the Stadio Olimpico.
Jurgen Klopp's side failed with a £28m approach for Salah earlier last week, but it appears that they are now on course to sign him after having placed a renewed £35m offer, The Mirror claims.
Salah bagged 15 goals and 11 assists for Roma last term as they finished four points adrift of eventual champions Juventus.
