Manchester United flop set for return to England
Manchester United flop set for return to England
Portuguese attacker Bebe was labelled as one of Sir Alex Ferguson's worst ever signings, after joining the Old Trafford club in 2010. Three years on since he left Manchester United permanently, he could be set for a return to England.
Bebe appeared just seven times for Manchester United, which was enough for legendary manager Ferguson to decide that he was not cut out to make it for The Red Devils.
Following three loans spells away from the club, Bebe made a permanent move to Benfica in 2014, marking an end to a massively unsuccessful spell in the Premier League.
Marca reports today that Bebe could be set for a return to England, with Championship team Wolverhampton Wanderers showing interest in a £1.5 million move.
Wolves have recently appointed Portuguese manager Nuno Espirito on a three-year deal. Espirito, who formerly managed Porto, has already signed three players from his native country and Bebe could be the fourth.
Bebe's current club, Eibar, are prepared to sell him and Wolves are said to be willing to take a risk on him for that price. The Portuguese attacker has struggled to settle at any of his clubs, but Nuno Espirito appears to have the belief that he can get the best out of the former Manchester United man.
