West Ham plotting bid for Germany international
West Ham United are planning an attempt to sign Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse as they seek to add an injury-free striker to their ranks.
The Hammers largely struggled during their first season at the London Stadium with the club's forward options failing to click.
Andre Ayew, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho were all sidelined for a particular period of time during the previous campaign, and Bilic is now on the search for a new marksman to lead the line.
According to Sky Sports News, the east London outfit are plotting an approach for Max Kruse, who bagged 15 goals in the Bundesliga last term.
Werder activated the £10.4m release clause on his contract to lure him from Wolfsburg last year, and the club are prepared to accept a similar offer for his sale during this summer's transfer window.
The 29-year-old has already made his mark at the international level after having earned 14 caps for World Cup champions Germany following his debut in 2013.
