Leicester City are in advanced talks about a £2 million deal that will see them sign Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic following The Tigers' relegation from the Premier League.

Despite Hull City stating that they have not accepted any bids for their player, BBC Sport understands that a deal is very close to being finalised.

Hull were relegated to the Championship last season, but Jakupovic showed what he is capable of on numerous occasions with numerous impressive shot-stopping displays.

Leicester fully intend to keep hold of current first choice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and would see Jakupovic as a backup option should he be required.

Should this deal be completed, current backup 'keeper Robert Zieler's position at the club would become uncertain, with it likely that he would not be satisfied being third in the pecking order.

Jakupovic would become the second player that Leicester City have signed from Hull City in a very short period of time, after it was announced that they had signed defender Harry Maguire for a fee in the region of £17 million.
