Bayern Munich reduce asking price for Sanches

Sanches featured in Portugal's Euro 2016 success

Renato Sanches was tipped to become the next big star of European football last summer. After failing to impress during his debut season with Bayern Munich, it is now believed that the club are looking to offload him and have even reduced the amount of money that they are looking to get in return for him, which has alerted Manchester United.

Manchester United were in the race to sign Sanches from Benfica but it was Bayern Munich who came out on top.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be unconvinced by Sanches' ability to make the grade at the Allianz Arena and will look to sell him this summer to make way for new signings.

When it was reported that Sanches was unwanted by the club last month, Bayern Munich were looking to sell him for a fee close to £30 million. Now, The Sun suggests that they are willing to accept anything near the £23 million mark.

Kicker reports today that this has alerted Jose Mourinho, who is very interested in taking Sanches to Manchester United. The opportunity to put his career back on track and play in the Premier League would be appealing for the Portugal international and the £23 million price tag could turn out to be a bargain for The Red Devils.
