Crystal Palace head coach Roy Hodgson has suggested that his side will be looking for some good luck when they face Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Eagles are winless in their opening six games of the campaign after failing to register a point or a goal. United, though, remain unbeaten this season and are just behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.

Speaking to reporters, Hodgson admitted that Palace face an uphill task at Old Trafford, although they could take advantage of United's fatigue after their recent Champions League trip to Russia.

He said, via ESPN: "There's never a good time to play Man United and there is always a good time to play them.

"I guess Jose will say it's not ideal to be playing Saturday afternoon after coming back from Russia but they have a strong team and on paper are stronger than we are. But it's not played on paper and hope we can get some good luck."

Palace have not won a league game at Old Trafford in the Premier League era, and they will have to cope without Christian Benteke, who is sidelined for around six weeks with a knee problem.
