Carlo Ancelotti open to Premier League return
Former Chelsea head coach Carlo Ancelotti is open to the idea of making a Premier League comeback following his dismissal from Bayern Munich last month.
The 58-year-old was sacked from his managerial role at Bayern last week following a 3-0 Champions League defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern have also made a slow start to their Bundesliga campaign, and this played a part in the German club's decision to part ways with the Champions League-winning manager.
In a report covered by Sky Sports, Ancelotti revealed that he would take an extended rest for the remainder of the season, before considering a move to the Premier League or elsewhere.
"I want to manage. Not this season, maybe next season [either] in the Premier League or at another club. The only thing I want to do is to train," he said.
Despite his former links with Chelsea, Arsenal have been touted as a potential destination (Mediaset Premium) for the Italian, should Arsene Wenger decide to leave the Emirates.
Ancelotti celebrated a Premier League and FA Cup double with Chelsea during his maiden English campaign back in 2009/10.
