Chelsea, Liverpool to compete for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder?
Chelsea and Liverpool could reportedly go head-to-head in the pursuit of Argentine midfielder Javier Pastore, who has been made available by Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer market.
The 28-year-old playmaker has been with Les Parisiens for the past six years, netting 38 goals in 213 appearances across all competitions.
Despite his regular injury concerns, Pastore has been regarded highly by the French outfit until this season where the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have stolen the show.
According to El Gol Digital, Unai Emery's side are looking to satisfy the Financial Fair Play requirements and this could encourage the sale of Pastore at the start of 2018.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in the past, and his £26m valuation has recently captured the attention of Inter Milan.
The attacker has managed just two starts for Paris Saint-Germain in France's top-flight this term with a whole host of talents including Julian Draxler ahead of him in the pecking order.
