Manchester City to make winter bid for Alexis Sanchez?
Manchester City have reportedly decided to pursue a cut-price move for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez in the New Year. The Chile international was the subject of a £60m switch to the Etihad Stadium last summer, but the deal fell through due to the Gunners' inability to find a replacement.
According to The Mirror, the Citizens remain interested in the Gunners attacker, who has just eight months left on his existing deal. However, Pep Guardiola still does not approve the £20m valuation on a player, who could be available for nothing at the end of the campaign.
Arsene Wenger has previously insisted that the attacker could honour the final year of his contract, but on Thursday, he admitted that the Gunners would consider the forward's sale in the winter transfer window.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been brought forward as potential destinations, although Sanchez has made up in his mind to reunite with Guardiola following his Emirates exit.
