Man Utd to offer Jose Mourinho new deal
Manchester United are to reward Jose Mourinho with a brand new five-year contract after an impressive start to life at Old Trafford. The Portuguese boss, formerly the coach of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, has three years remaining on his current contract.
According to multiple news reports today, Jose Mourinho will be offered a new deal in a matter of weeks as Manchester United seek to show confidence in Mourinho's start to life at United.
The Portuguese manager has been influential in securing the signing of impressive midfielder Paul Pogba and striker Romelu Lukaku, both players who have contributed to United's recent successes.
Mourinho, who secured a treble last season for United, currently sees his side in second place in the Premier League, chasing Man City in top spot.
It is understood that Paris St Germain have identified Mourinho as a long-term target to take over in the French capital and United hope to move quickly to tie the manager down to a longer term deal.
