Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has reportedly been earmarked as a potential option for Real Madrid ahead of this summer's transfer window.
The Germany international has been reluctant to pen put pen-to-paper on a new Reds contract beyond the summer, and it appears likely that he may leave on a free transfer.
Juventus and ex-club Bayern Munich are said to have already expressed an interest in securing a pre-contract agreement with the midfielder, but according to El Gol Digital, Real Madrid have joined the pursuit.
The European champions have identified the German as a probable successor to Luka Modric, who has been associated with a surprise Premier League return with rivals Arsenal during the summer.
Can has refused to comment on his contract situation with the Reds, and a decision on his future is likely to be taken towards the end of the campaign or prior to the World Cup, where he is due to represent holders Germany.
