Manchester United duo injured on international duty

Manchester United duo Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba are said to have suffered injuries which restricted their participation in a training session with France on Tuesday, L'Equipe reports.

The pair have endured difficult spells with United over the past month, and Pogba, in particular, has received plenty of criticism for his poor performances on the playing field.

As per L'Equipe, Martial has not featured in training for Les Bleus since reporting to the camp. Meanwhile, Pogba had appeared on the ground on Monday, only to miss the session which followed 24 hours later.

The report suggests that neither player has sustained a serious injury, but they are said to have minor niggles which could potentially keep them out of the friendly game against Colombia on Friday night.

Pogba's future with France is secure for the World Cup irrespective of his United form, but Martial needs to prove his credentials in the coming games in order to stand a chance of boarding the plane to Russia this summer.
