West Ham monitoring Mario Balotelli
West Ham monitoring Mario Balotelli
West Ham are unlikely candidates to sign former Man City and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli in June. When the transfer window reopens, and if West Ham can retain their Premier League status, the Hammers are expected to be one of the country's top spending sides.
Balotelli has had an impressive two seasons since his move to France with current club Nice and has bagged 14 goals in 21 league games so far this year, following up 15 from 23 last season.
Italian forward Balotelli believes that he has unfinished business in the Premier League and has been seeking a return to England for over a year and West Ham could be his shock destination.
The Hammers are confident that a deal of around 18 million euros can be wrapped up this summer and that West Ham will beat the likes of Besikas, Galatasaray, Villarreal and Italian club Inter Milan to sign the international striker.
West Ham have struggled in the attacking department this year and manager David Moyes is desperate to add fresh firepower to his squad.
