France manager Didier Deschamps has claimed that Manchester United are not looking to part ways with Anthony Martial at the end of the campaign.

The 22-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Juventus in recent weeks, but Deschamps has stressed that the player remains a key part of Jose Mourinho's plans.

"The players know it would be better if issues in the market were resolved as soon as possible, but I know that won't be the case," he told Tuttosport. "Martial has a contract with United and the club don't want to sell him. We'll see if he's looked at, by Juve or anyone else."

Martial started the season away from the starting lineup, but he slowly established himself with Marcus Rashford struggling to make his chances pay on the left-wing.

However, his gametime has vastly reduced since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January, and this has spread speculation over his future with United yet to extend his contract beyond 2019.
