Chelsea midfielder keen on summer exit
Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater is reportedly prepared to push through an exit from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. The England international has made just five Premier League starts for the Blues since his arrival from Leicester City last summer.
According to The Guardian, the 28-year-old has grown disillusioned with life with the Premier League champions, and he could decide on a fresh challenge elsewhere during the summer.
Drinkwater joined the Blues whilst he was carrying a minor thigh injury, and this was followed up by another calf issue which made him wait until late October for his debut.
The midfielder has since made 22 appearances for the Capital outfit across all competitions, but nearly half of those have come from the substitutes' bench.
Drinkwater last featured for the Blues during the league debut at Manchester City last month, and Conte has since opted to play Cesc Fabregas alongside N'Golo Kante in a two-man midfield.
