Chelsea join race for Nabil Fekir

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to go head-to-head with Liverpool in the pursuit of Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir in the summer.

The France international has notched 22 goals and a further eight assists for Lyon this campaign and his form has caught the eye of several elite clubs.

A recent report from RMC suggested that the Reds are making strides towards the attacker but according to L'Equipe, they could face added competition from the Blues.

Nevertheless, Jurgen Klopp's side are said to be favourites to pursue the 24-year-old, provided they can finish in the top-four or win the Champions League this season.

Fekir has also been a long-term target for Arsenal but their chances of signing him look slim after failing to qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Frenchman has spent his entire career with Les Gones but the current campaign has been his best yet after being handed the captaincy with his hometown club.
