Chelsea favourites to sign Bayern Munich marksman
Chelsea are reportedly leading the hunt to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski with Real Madrid no longer in the pursuit of his services.
The Poland international has been a consistent goalscorer over the past eight years in the Bundesliga and he recently amassed 40 goals for Bayern Munich for a third straight season.
According to Marca, the 29-year-old is now said to be eyeing a fresh challenge in a new league and super-agent Pini Zahavi has informed of his availability to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
Lewandowski is presently the Blues' prime target for the summer transfer window and his arrival is likely to coincide with the exit of Alvaro Morata, who struggled with his finishing in his debut Premier League campaign.
Morata has already been linked with a possible return to Juventus on a two-year loan with the option to make the deal permanent in the long-run. The Bianconeri are expecting the possible exit of Mario Mandzukic this summer.
