Arsenal are reportedly said to be preparing a £50m bid to pursue Emil Forsberg from RB Leipzig this summer. The Sweden international has come off a tough season with the Bundesliga outfit but he still remains a priority target for the north London giants.

According to Expressen, the Gunners could revive their long-term interest in Forsberg this summer with Unai Emery aiming to add more firepower in the attack front.

It is added that the club will have to cough up at least £50m for the Swedish footballer, though Leipzig may yet tempt him to stay at the Red Bull Arena.

Forsberg's current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2022 but Leipzig are said to have plans in place to discuss a fresh long-term contract with the 26-year-old.

The Swede was hugely impressive during his debut Bundesliga season where he contributed eight goals and 22 assists but he could manage only two goals and two assists in an injury-plagued campaign last term.
