West Ham United keen on signing Fabio Borini?

West Ham United are reportedly said to have expressed an interest in signing Fabio Borini from AC Milan. The Italy international recently made his switch to San Siro permanent after impressing on a season-long loan from Sunderland last term.
According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri may be forced to offload the Italian during this summer's transfer window as they seek to raise funds to balance their financial books.
As such, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is said to be planning a formal approach for the former Sunderland man, though Milan are expected to demand at least double of the £5m sum paid to the Black Cats.
Borini, who primarily plys his trade in the wider attacking positions, happened to also feature in the right-back and right wing-back roles during his debut season at the Rossoneri.
The 27-year-old began his professional playing career with Chelsea and he has since time with Swansea City, Liverpool and Sunderland in English football.
