Everton boss keen on signing Manchester United centre-back
Everton manager Marco Silva is keen to push through a permanent move for Manchester United's Victor Lindelof. The Sweden international was pretty average during his maiden season with United last term and was restricted to just 13 league starts.
According to The Mirror, Silva has handed in a list of summer targets to new director of football Marcel Brands for the summer and this includes the name of Lindelof.
The 23-year-old could not quite adapt to the pace of the Premier League following his £31.5m switch from Benfica last summer but Silva is nevertheless willing to pay as much as £35m for the centre-back.
United boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be eyeing an experienced central defender for the squad in the transfer window and it will be interesting to see whether he would consider the sale of Lindelof.
Aside from Lindelof, the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling were criticised for their performances last term but the pair are widely expected to remain at Old Trafford.
