Martial wants United exit - Agent

The representative of Anthony Martial has confirmed that the Frenchman has set his sights on leaving Manchester United during the ongoing transfer window.

The 22-year-old was in stunning form for United during the first half of the previous campaign and shortly after the turn of the year, he scored in three straight Premier League games.

However, Martial thereafter struggled to cement a regular starting role amid the winter arrival of Alexis Sanchez and he failed to find the net between February and May.

Speaking to RMC Sport, agent Philippe Lamboley has now confirmed his client wants an exit from Old Trafford after losing the manager's faith in the backend of the last season.

"After thinking about all the possibilities and parameters, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United," he is quoted as saying by the French publication.

The representative further indicated that talks over a new contract have not progressed over the past eight months and United don't seem to value the Frenchman as an important player.

Martial failed to make the France squad for the World Cup finals in Russia and this is likely to speed up his exit, unless United convince him to stay put for another term.
